Hi there!
First of all, I’d like to say welcome to my website and thank you so much for taking the time to visit 🙂
So then, you’re probably wondering who I am?
My name is Sandra Gouweleeuw and I’m an online entrepreneur. I live in the Netherlands at about 30 kilometres from Amsterdam. I’ve been married with the love of my life since 1999: my husband Dennis. Together we have two amazing children, who are both already grown-ups themselves.
After having struggled as an online entrepreneur for 12 years, I’m now mentored by a respected and successful affiliate marketer. I would love to share everything I’ve already learned, as well as what I’m still learning, with you as a reader. I really hope it will inspire and motivate you to always strive to reach your goals 🙂
How it all started
It may sound crazy, but I never set out to become an online entrepreneur. As a child there was one thing I knew for sure: I want to help people! That’s why I studied to become a nurse when I was 19 years old. I worked as a nurse in a hospital for around 9 years. It really brought me an incredible amount of joy and a sense of fulfilment.
After that, I worked as a consultant for people who needed help because of health issues. This allowed me to help people by arranging personal help such as domestic help or home care. I could also arrange other things such as a wheelchair or stairlift. This is also something I did happily for 9 years. Until a beloved family member became very ill…
My turning point towards online entrepreneurship
This family member was the baby sitter for my (at the time) two young children while my husband and I went to work. However, because of her health, she wasn’t able to do this anymore. That’s when I decided to quit my job to be there for my children and for this family member. (Who is doing really great again btw!)
This meant that I’d reached a turning point in my life and the start of my career as an online entrepreneur. I started out by buying a webshop from someone so I could work from home. This turned out to be the perfect combination.
“The turning point in the life of those who succeed usually comes at the moment of some crisis”
When I spoke to my former colleagues again, they told me that they always knew that I was a born entrepreneur. They were not surprised at all! Amazing right? Sometimes you decide to do something completely different and other people already know that that’s going to be perfect for you. My colleagues turned out to be completely right!
Over the years, I owned multiple webshops. One more successful than the other. I can now hold my own in a good conversation about everything to do with owning a webshop. My most important webshop (that I still own) is a webshop with diet products. Besides running the webshop itself, I really enjoy that I’m still able to help people! I love being able to give people tips and advice on what to do if they want to lose weight or just want to change their eating habits because of other health-related issues. This is where my history as a nurse really comes in handy 🙂
My goal
While I really love running my webshops, it doesn’t give me the freedom (both financially and timewise with my family) I would like to have as an online entrepreneur. That’s why it’s time for a change! I’m at the start of a brand new and exciting project: affiliate marketing. I want to learn how to make a living out of it and realise my dreams.
Are you an entrepreneur who wants to earn money online in a different way than what you’re used to? Are you tired of working for your boss and do you want to start your own business? Or do you have another reason for wanting to make more money and are you interested in affiliate marketing? If that’s you, I’d like to invite you to follow me while I embark on this adventure. For me, that’s also the reason to finally start writing a personal blog. And for you, it’s a great opportunity to learn more about earning money online.
Don’t hesitate to ask questions
As you might have noticed, English is not my first language. Should my writing contain any mistakes, then I’d like to apologize in advance. Hopefully, you’ll still understand what I mean. Is something unclear to you or do you have a question about one of the subjects I’m writing about? Please don’t hesitate to ask! Do you just want to leave a reply? Please do! I’d love to connect with you 🙂
