The Perfect Traffic Strategy For Affiliate Marketing

After having received so much information about how to set up everything to start promoting products, it is now time to finally really start getting down to business as they say.

In this part of the quick start blueprint I learned all about defining your perfect audience and how to target them. After all, you can’t just randomly put links to the products you’re promoting all over the internet, right? You need to find people who are interested in what you have to offer. Therefore, you need to know who you want to target.

 

Keep it close to yourself

Perhaps the best tip I can give is that you should keep it close to yourself. You need to be able to resonate with these people after all. Of course, you are looking for people who are interested in affiliate marketing.

However, if you’re 60 and talking about how you want to start affiliate marketing to supplement your pension, you definitely won’t connect with people fresh out of college. Nor should you. You want to reach out to people who would understand you and your problems. It sounds so simple, but it doesn’t make it any less true (or perhaps eye-opening).

 

How to generate traffic

PeopleOnce you have defined your perfect audience you have to, of course, reach out to them to get traffic. You’re probably wondering: okay, so how do I do that then? Well, you basically have two options: free traffic or paid traffic.

Free traffic always comes with an investment of time and paid traffic with an investment of money. The best strategy is to use a combination of both! Choose a maximum of 1 (or maybe 2) of each! According to Dean, this should work perfectly 🙂

This blog I’m writing now is a great example of a free traffic method 🙂 But it’s definitely not the only one! Posts on social media platforms, such as Facebook and Youtube, can also be used. For paid traffic, you can basically use the same social media platforms (or Google Ads) but now you have to pay for advertisements. This will allow you to safe more time, but also scale faster! And what I love most about it: you are completely free in which platform you want to choose! This way, you can always find a method that will fit and you feel comfortable with.

As you can clearly see, I’ve decided to use a blog as my free traffic method. For my paid method (and maybe also for my second free traffic method), I’m not completely sure yet, but I’m really leaning towards using Facebook.

I never thought I’d say this because I rarely use Facebook, making me a complete newbie… but I really believe that this is a great way to reach out to my target audience. After all, there are billions of people who are using this platform. I’m definitely ready to give it my all to succeed!
